When I was a small child I was at my grandmother's house when the film "Brigadoon" was on TV. That was the day I fell in love with the incomparable Gene Kelly. I was blessed to meet him in person many years later - - it was one of the most incredible experiences of my whole life. This is a simple tribute.

You were able to meet the amazing Gene Kelly?! Ah, he is one of my many old movie loves, right up there with Cary Grant and Jimmy Stewart. Heh, It makes me sad how many people my age (mid-late teens) don't know who these masterful legends are. My parents introduced Hitchcock movies to me when I was thirteen, with 'Dial M for Murder,' then I watched 'Charade,' the best Hitchcock-that-wasn't-a-Hitchcock, and it has been my favorite movie ever since. I absolutely loved Cary and Audrey together. How I wish I had been able to see these movies during their prime time (of course, they're amazing no matter when you watch them). Sigh, I would've died to meet these guys... And the girls are my role models, of course. The REAL kings and queens of hollywood.
