When I was a small child I was at my grandmother's house when the film "Brigadoon" was on TV. That was the day I fell in love with the incomparable Gene Kelly. I was blessed to meet him in person many years later - - it was one of the most incredible experiences of my whole life. This is a simple tribute.
I used to work in television production and was honored to meet Mr. Kelly when he was in town at a celebrity function. He was simply amazing!
Sadly, the only time you see him on anything now is when, as the other day, someone with whom he used to perform passes away, such as the incomparable Cyd Charrise. Otherwise I suppose one must watch his classic films on dvd.
He was the best.

...and it was always said of him, that he knew how to keep Christmas well, if any man alive possessed the knowledge. May that be truly said of us, and all of us! And so, as Tiny Tim observed, God Bless Us, Every One!
That's really something! I wish I had lived just a few decades ago, so I could have grown up in that scene and experienced it.
Do you not ever watch the TCM channel? They often show Gene Kelly films, that's how I get to see most of them. 'Brigadoon' is actually on quite often. TCM is my favourite channel.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
I'm a lover of visual impacts. I like brilliant colors and shapes. And I decided to collect a whole stack of deviations that reflect that taste. These pieces showcased below deserve every bit of publicity you can give them. x)P
